Hey Chaps, Happy to be back after veryyy long time. Today am going to talk about
the language’s role & importance in our day to day life.
Language is one of the things that separating the mankind from the rest of the other creatures living in this universe. We can’t imagine this earth without the function of language. By using language only, we can communicate to the other person what exactly we think in our mind.
According to the Internet, there are more than 7000 languages
in the world & 22 major languages in India (approx.)
India’s 22 official languages as follows in
(alphabetically) : Assamese, Bengali, Bodo,
Dogri, Gujarati,Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam,
Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Santhali, Sindhi,
Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
Now, I have to mention the indisputable role of the ‘English’ language in our lives. English is the dominant language which having its influence in many field of work. English is the global link language that can’t be easily replaced by any other languages, also it is one of the most commonly spoken language in the world. One of the English’s benefits is its flexible nature, you can say one thing in multiple ways by using the huge range of vocabulary. Nowadays, half of the content produced in the internet is in English language only. So, it will allows you to access an extraordinary amount of wealthy information that available in online.
Every language is most precious to its native
speakers, everyone wishes their language to be an official one in their region.
For a country like India, one official language is absolutely not possible at
all. This is a country that has different cultures & various traditions.
But some people can’t understand this kind of
feelings and pushing others to “One Nation – One Language” (Hindi). I can’t
deny Hindi is mostly talked by many people
& it helps for better communication. But insisting everyone to learn
it and imposing it everywhere is completely atrocious.
In our democratic country, the current ruling
government giving us the Authoritarian regime like
removing the regional language in Bank ATMs, Metro Trains & Milestones and
replacing it with ‘Hindi’ is highly condemnable.
In this phase, am going to say about the
people’s respect towards their language & their sensitivity over it. Many
people are more fond towards that and become rage when someone insults it. In some cases, disagreement between the
people over language leads to violence.
In Tamilnadu, the people here are
claiming the language ‘Tamil’ is the mother of all languages and saying that
it’s the first & ancient one to be talked by that period people.
I can understand the greatness of the
language & admit this language deserves a special attention.
But some people went one step above and
saying this language needs to be respected more & speaking that gives them
the pride. I clearly don’t understand the whole concept behind it. Language is
just a tool to explain our needs to others and it doesn’t needs to be
glorified.
Because, we just can’t survive with this
one language & it will change depends on the location.
In a nutshell, every language to be
praised for making this earth a better place. But it doesn’t needs any respect
at all.

my perception & doesn’t intend to hurt any beliefs.
